McCabes will host a lunchtime seminar from EDO NSW lawyers about the NSW Government’s proposed biodiversity legislative and policy package.

The Biodiversity Conservation Bill, Local Land Services Amendment Bill, and information about proposed land clearing codes is open for public comment until Tuesday 28 June 2016. This legislative and policy package is designed to replace the Native Vegetation Act, Threatened Species Conservation Act, the Nature Conservation Trust Act and parts of the National Parks & Wildlife Act.

This seminar will be useful for lawyers and other professionals working in environmental and planning law, as well as community members who are interested to know what is proposed under the legislative and policy package, our concerns with these proposals, and how they can have their say.
